In our kindergarten, one extracurricular programme and two clubs are carried out every day. In the Bees group, an additional pre-school preparation programme is implemented, alongside all the regular activities.
Kreativno Pero kindergarten clubs
Creative Theatre
Various research studies have shown that children who participate in drama workshops achieve better results and higher social interaction. The Creative Theatre club is designed to be a drama workshop where children practice focus, memory, and proper pronunciation. Creative Theatre is designed to support creativity, imagination and artistic tendencies. By using different drama methods, children slowly build confidence, become more communicative and develop love towards theatre plays.
Secret Agents
The Secret Agents club encourages children’s adventurous spirit and teaches them about the importance of research, clues and fact-based reasoning. In this club, children are introduced to the achievements of world-famous detectives, while engaging in logical-mathematical thinking by exchanging coded messages, secret signals, discovering hidden meanings and creating riddles. In specially prepared Escape Room workshops, children strengthen their teamwork skills and practice spatial and temporal orientation by offering help to buddies in trouble. Furthermore, the Secret Agents club also enables children to participate in the process of comic book creation, from the idea (script) to realisation (presenting and selling the comics).
Cooking club
Cooking club is carefully designed. All measures have been taken to ensure that the children are safe during this club. Curious and willing to help, children learn how to make simple dishes, learn about nutritious and healthy foodstuffs and actively participate in preparing food and various sweets.
Art History
Small children are great artists. In this club, children are able to learn about famous artists’ masterpieces from the Middle Ages to modern art. Learning about art genres and analysis of artwork are an integral part of supporting creativity and creation. By painting in large formats, children create reproductions of famous paintings and develop imagination. In this manner, they are sent a message that each child is a creator. Children learn about different techniques - graffiti, charcoal, aquarel, tempera, graphic, clay and others. Children discover their creative potential and their creativity is encouraged.
Crafts
Every person has an inborn potential to create, and by nourishing this important trait, children are able to get to know their capabilities better, create a positive self-image, stand out and affirm their distinct personality. This is why children need to be offered activities that contribute to the development of creative personality features. The objective of this club is for children to discover their creativity, develop perceptive and intellectual functions, as well as practice their fine and gross graph-motorics by designing jewellery and various decorations.
I Choose to Recycle
Respect and love towards nature are best developed in preschool children. It’s also important to help children realise the fact that everything is interconnected in nature, and encourage them to develop a protective attitude towards it, to guard it and enjoy its beauty. Within the I Choose to Recycle club, children are acquainted and familiarised with the marvellous world of nature, by exploring air, water, earth, energy, plants and animals. Some of the topics covered by this club include: What is ecology?, Ecosystems and their features, A breath of fresh air, A fish out of water, Earthlings, Recycling.
Cosmopolitan Club
The Cosmopolitan Club is an interesting way for children and educators to explore the notions of interculturalism, developing tolerance and respecting all human beings. The objectives of this club are to develop respect and love towards our planet and support the development of a cosmopolitan spirit. Children use this club to learn more about different cultures, countries and customs worldwide.
Let’s dance
At a certain time of day, our kindergarten turns into a dancing floor! This is when our youngest ones, with the support of a professional dancer, learn how to dance rumba, twist, disco, cha-cha-cha, lambada, polka, cowboy polka, duckies and many other dances, thereby developing movement coordination and musical abilities.
Music Club
Attending the Music Club is an excellent opportunity for the child to express his/her experiences through sound and rhythm, and thus contextualise the world around him/her. Music is one of the universal ways of expression for children of all ages, and numerous research studies have shown that taking part in musical activities helps develop speech, social and emotional cognition, as well as vocabulary. In our Music Club, children enjoy singing, playing instruments, exploring the variety of the music world and learning about the different ways of emotional expression
Additional Programmes
Children who, besides the curriculum, take part in free time activities, learn in time to constructively manage their time, face the fear of failure, and learn more about themselves and their abilities and achieve more success in various areas.
Additional Programmes in the Kindergarten
Little astronauts
We aim to show children that science is fun, so children in this programme learn about the basic principles of astronomy and discover numerous fun facts. Both children and adults search to answer the questions: What is astronomy? What kinds of constellations are there? How do planets and satellites move? How do Sun and Moon eclipses come about? What is a shooting star and what is a supernova? How did black stars come about? … The basic goal is that children can, with little or no support from the teachers, combine historical facts, practical work and scientific achievements, and thus discover the world of astronomy by marking meridians, observing Moon phases, locating the Northern star, differentiating constellations, heating water with star energy and in many other ways.
Little paleontologists
Popular science is easily accepted by children, since it is accessible and interesting. The children from our institution have the chance to learn more about science through Little paleontologists programme. With the support and guidance of adults, the children gradually discover the distant world of dinosaurs, learn what paleontology is, when first fossils were discovered, which dinosaur was the largest, have the dinosaurs extinct and how to recognize their fossil remains. Children workshops are focused on learning through research. By making a fossil footprint, simulating dinosaur walk, constructing geological time scale and various brain teasers on life development on Earth, the children form scientific opinion and learn the cause and effect relationship in the world that surround us.
Little programmers
Kreativno Pero bases its work on the use of 21st century technologies, so the Little programmers additional programme has the aim of supporting the use of ICT technologies in educational work with children of early age. It is very significant that children step into the world of programming as early as possible, since this is an important skill of the future. Realization of this programme includes the use of QR codes and algorithmic tasks, which help the children of early age acquire relevant skills of programming and functioning in the digital world.
Little doctors
The very curious kids learn about the human body, importance of prevention and good care through the Little doctors programme. They learn why heart beats, what is skeleton, why we need air and how to care for our health in interactive workshops. The importance of this programme lies in supporting very young children to realize the importance of health and preventive methods, as well as adopting healthy lifestyle and habits.
Little scientists
The basic aim of this programme is step by step introduction to the methodology of scientific research and the basis of scientifically based opinion. Besides conducting experiments and putting popular science into action, the children enter the world of science and form scientific opinion. This interactive programme helps very young children to see science as something interesting and as an introduction to the diversity of life. Little geologists
We live on a very mysterious planet, and we learn just how much on Little geologists programme, where children and adults gradually reveal the mysteries by learning about the historical stages of Earth’s development. What are volcanoes, how are rocks made, how to recognize if a soil can give flowers - these are the questions our youngest try to answer.
Sport
Sport activities are of extreme importance for proper and healthy development of a child, since physical activity is the best way to nurture health and development of various social, psychological, intellectual and graph motoric skills and abilities, our children start the habit of regular physical activities from the early age.
Sports programme in the kindergarten is held by P.E. teachers and professional trainers, educated for working with very young children. Sports programme is realized in Stibo Sports Center. During summer, the children have tennis lessons with a tennis coach and swimming lessons with licensed teachers.
