Library membership for every child
From the first of September 2023, Belgrade City Library introduces a free membership for all students, grades 1-4.
Students will receive completed membership cards with all the necessary information once they reach the nearest library, Savski Venac municipality.
Children’s week 2023.

Children's Week is traditionally held in October, the aim is to draw the public's attention to children and young people, to their needs and rights in the family, society and local community, the right to grow up in the best possible conditions, to equal opportunities for development and realization of all their potential. In order to promote and celebrate children's rights and children's week, an art workshop was organized for preschool group Hummingbirds and younger learners (grades) of elementary school. The workshop will be held by the parent Mrs. Tijana Dobrić Gaćić, painter and founder of the Beo Art House school.
Expecting Children's Week, Mr. Milovanović our students’ parent, a Serbian motorist and three-time European champion who is famous for motor sports, will present his profession to higher grades students in Čakorska 3.
Educational and interactive workshops will be organized for all children and students of the Kreativno pero school, which will be implemented by the educational and teaching staff.
We would like to thank all the participants for their involvement and contribution in celebrating this week.

Expecting this year's Children's Week, as well as on the occasion of celebrating the birthday of Evangelina who is the daughter of an active member of the Association of Parents and member of the executive board of the Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia, Mrs. Božica Velousis who organized a visit to the theatre Puž for elementary school students, grades 1-4, who will watch the wonderful play which is also a musical - Giant Cake. After the play, they will enjoy a birthday party. The transport is organized and scheduled at 9:30 a.m., the students and teachers will leave the school at the given time and will return to school is expected by 12:00 p.m. before lunch.
The Kreativno pero team would like to thank Mrs. Velousis for the organization and the wonderful gesture she made for the participants.
Workshop - Childhood as a safe journey

5 - 6. 10. 2023.
On the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the implementation of Childhood as a safe journey project by the authorities from the MIA begins. The workshop planned for Grade I will be held on the 6th of October 2023 starting at 13: 30 and for Grade II starting at 14: 15, the topic is traffic safety for children and children’s protection in emergency situations, it lasts for 45 minutes.
Workshops for grades V and VII will be held on the 5th of October 2023 starting at 13: 30, the topic refers to the prevention of peer and digital violence and it lasts for 90 minutes.
The 2023 FIRST Global Challenge - Hydrogen Horizons

Singapore
FIRST Global Challenge is an international robotics competition held inspired by the Olympic Games. In this competition, high school robotics teams from each country compete in a game dedicated to the greatest challenges facing our planet. In previous years, these competitions were held in Washington, Mexico City, Dubai and online in 2020 and 2021. In 2022, the competition was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
The goal of the FIRST Global Challenge 2023 international competition is to inspire students to learn the skills they will need to solve global problems. This year's theme is Hydrogen horizons, and participants will have the opportunity to use their creativity and problem-solving skills to design and create a robot that will produce hydrogen in a designed environment and convert it into energy to develop renewable energy innovations to improve the health of the planet.
Kreativno pero high school students Marko Jovanović and Luka Žigić, Aleksandar Krizmanić, a student of the department with special abilities for computing and informatics of the XII High School, Stefan Milenković and Relja Kukić, Mathematical High School students, as well as Dušan Mladenović, a student of the Nikola Tesla School of Electrical Engineering, are members of the team that will represent Serbia at the International Robotics Olympiad. The team leader of the Serbia 2023 team is Aleksandra Nedeljković and the technical mentor is Vuk Vujović.
In 2020, our team won the seventh position at the International Robotics Olympiad, securing a place in the TOP 10 best teams out of over 100 participating teams. In 2021, the Serbian team finished eighth in a competition of 178 national teams, which is considered an exceptional success, while in 2022, out of a total of twelve matches played during the competition within the regional alliance, the Serbian team won ten.
Young roboticists are ready for this year's Olympics! We wish them much success!
EU Code Week 2023.

EU Code Week is a grassroots programming movement that has been taking place since 2015 and involves over 80 countries.
The goal of this event is to demystify programming skills and reveal them to children and interested persons of all ages.
As part of Code Week in Kreativni pero, kindergarten children and students (grades 1 - 3 primary school) will participate in thematic activities prepared by teachers.

the second and the third week of October
In October, the autumn Cross will be organized at the Kreativno pero Elementary and high School. Depending on their age, students will participate in the following categories:
- First and second grade - 200m;
- Third and fourth grade - 400m;
- Fifth and sixth grade - girls 600m and boys 800m;
- Seventh and eighth grade - girls 800m and boys 1000m;
- High school 1200m.
It is necessary for the students to prepare a spare wardrobe and running equipment for the announced Cross.
PE teachers Nebojša Milivojević and Branko Vitorović are the organizers of these sports activities.
*In case of bad weather, Fall Cross may be postponed to another school day when better weather is expected.
Say no to plastic in Kreativno pero
In the Kreativno pero educational system, the use of single-use plastic products is abandoned, in order to preserve nature.
There will be more plastic than fish in the oceans by mid-century if the way the world produces, uses and disposes of plastic today doesn't change.
Accordingly, we say NO to plastic! A certain global problem can only be solved if we all unite.
Both parents and children as well as students of Kreativno Pero educational system are invited to bring reusable bottles/glasses, starting in October.
World Food Day

World Food Day is celebrated all over the world on October the 16th. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations - FAO established this date in 1945 as the World Healthy Eating Day, in order to raise awareness about creating a world without hunger.
This day is celebrated in more than 150 countries around the world.
In Kreativno Pero, this important date will be organized through activities that promote the importance of this important day. The activities will be provided and monitored by educators and teachers of Kreativno Pero.
This year, during October, the lecture on the importance of healthy nutrition for children and students of Kreativno pero will be held by Dr. Katarina Vukailović, specialist in pediatrics.

The parents' association is an institution that has existed within the Kreativno pero school for many years. The members of the Association are our students’ parents. Active members are parents who get involved in the organization of humanitarian actions and other activities that we organize several times a year. According to the Annual Work Plan, the following activities are foreseen:
- We are all Santa Claus charity action 4-15. December 2023.
- Charity auction of Easter eggs, April 2024.
- International Cuisine Day, May 2024.
- Summer Bazaar, June 2024.
Apple Day

Apple Day was first celebrated on October 21, 1990 in the United Kingdom. After that, the event was accepted by many schools, restaurants and organizations in order to promote the importance of apples in a healthy diet.
In Kreativno pero, this day will be celebrated on Friday, October 20, in order to emphasize the importance of apples and the contribution of this fruit to human health. The organizers of the planned thematic activities are the teachers of Kreativno pero, who will make various treats from apples grown in school garden.
66. International Book Fair

In light of this year's Book Fair, Božica Velousis, an active member of the Association of Parents and member of the executive board of the Cultural and Educational Community of Serbia, will hold reading workshops for the younger Kreativno pero learners.
During this visit, the students will have the opportunity to be guests of the stand of the Braće Karić Foundation, where they will get to know the children's editions of this foundation. They cwill have the opportunity to socialize with individual authors.
The International Belgrade Book Fair will take place in October 21-29, 2023. Students of Kreativno pero elementary school and high school will visit this year's Book Fair, accompanied by teachers of Serbian language and literature, as well as class teachers.

United Nations Day is an international date celebrated to promote the goals, purpose and achievements of the UN.
On that day in 1945, the United Nations Organization was founded.
In Kreativno pero, this day will be organized through thematic workshops that will be implemented in geography classes. The countries which are members will be the main topic, as well as the importance of this organization with special reference to the mission and its most important goals.
The organizer of the activity is geography teacher Jelena Popović Rakočević.
In the second half of October, we are implementing career guidance and counseling activities for all 8th grade of the Elementary School and the 3rd grade of the High school students. A team of professional associates will perform psychological testing, which is the basis for professional counseling.

This date will be marked in Kretivno Pero on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
The English language teachers will organize lessons in accordance with the customs associated with Halloween within thematic teaching.
On that day, children can come in costumes, it is not mandatory. In that case, they need to bring extra clothes to change into a more comfortable outfit during the day.
They can also bring sweets - in order to be safe, they can only bring chocolates in packaging with a declaration (kinder, best wishes, stark...), which they will serve to each other as a Trick or Treat.
