The Cambridge Professional Development Qualifications Centre is recognized by the UCL Institute of Education, one of the leading universities in the world. This institute ensures the quality of the programmes offered by the Cambridge Professional Development Centre. The Cambridge Professional Development programmes are aligned with the highest levels of professional qualification and are consistent with the European Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, known as the Bologna Framework. This means that the programmes bring a certain number of academic credits and enable the professional development of educators worldwide, based on the Cambridge methodology.
Kreativno Pero, in accordance with the Cambridge Professional Development Centre’s programme, conducts training in the areas of Teaching and Learning, Educational Leadership, Teaching Bilingual Learners and Teaching with Digital Technologies). During the first semester of the 2016/2017 school year, our team of teachers and professional associates participated in the preparatory programme for the implementation of this prestigious project. In collaboration with mentors from the Cambridge Professional Development Centre, representatives from our institution explored various topics, participated in discussions and forums, and developed reflective practices and professional development programmes in the above-mentioned four areas.
As a result, our institution became an official Cambridge Professional Development Centre, authorized to train educators according to Cambridge standards and issue Cambridge certificates. In the following period, Kreativno Pero will organise professional development trainings for educators in the region. Within the first phase of this project, which started in 2017, these training sessions will include our teachers and professional associates.
The Cambridge Certificate in Teaching and Learning will support teachers in promoting active learning principles, exploring practices, developing new ideas, and showing their own professional development based on critical thinking principles. The Cambridge Educational Leadership programme is designed for leaders of educational institutions. Participating in this form of professional development will help school principals in our region to support a learning community culture, develop leadership skills, and achieve success as leaders. Obtaining a Cambridge Certificate in Teaching Bilingual Learners programme provides a unique opportunity for teachers to strengthen their capacities to support bilingual students and actively foster school development based on the principles of interculturality and bilingual education. Educators who earn a Cambridge Certificate and Diploma in Teaching with Digital Technologies programme will develop key digital competencies, focusing on understanding the use of information and communication technologies in learning and teaching.
