Students from the 1st to 3rd grades of the Kreativno pero Gymnasium in Belgrade participated in a prestigious international social entrepreneurship competition organized by the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in the United States. Our talented high schoolers — Leila Aleksandra Jašović, Luka Žigić, Tara O'Sullivan, and team leader Aleksa Jovanović — presented their project, EcoBook, which focuses on producing notebooks from recycled materials to be donated to first-grade students in Belgrade elementary schools.
Thanks to their dedication, creativity, and teamwork, they earned international recognition and were named national champions in this highly esteemed competition. This remarkable achievement took place at the University of Pennsylvania — one of the world’s top universities — whose notable alumni include Elon Musk, Noam Chomsky, John Legend, Elizabeth Banks, and many other influential business leaders, politicians, and diplomats.
Our students’ success is a powerful motivation for future international projects and a testament to the ongoing development of their incredible potential. We are proud of them and look forward to celebrating many more victories ahead!
