Students were interested and asked lecturers many questions. Even though there are differences in opinion between our countries, the youth in our country is friendly towards one another.

The last lecture on the festival was held by Branislav Dimitrijevic, history and art theory professor in Higher education school for Art and Fine Art in Belgrade. The topic was Art Ideology but he also spoke about ideology in general. To him, ideology represents a set of ideas in which we believe in and fight for. He spoke about Margaret Thatcher and her attitude that there is no society, just a set of individuals who share the same needs. He advocates that society should be seen as a whole and for equality among people. Today’s ideology is more cunning. Economy is presented as the most important segment and material riches as the most important possessions which is also a form of hidden ideology.

The lecture was dynamic and the lecturer successful in communicating with his audience. The most interesting part was the one about hidden ideology. Our team on this festival were Dimitrije Djuric, Mina Milosevic, Tijana Stanisic, Katarina Andric, Tijana Marinkovic, Jelena Tomasevic, Mina Matic, Dunja Sarenac, Simona Putnik, jelena Stefanovic and Sasa Glamocak.

In the end, Teofil Pancic’s lesson Why media is important and Ivan Jankovic’s About the capital punishment, poetry reading by Selma Asotic and Teofil Pancic’s prose left the biggest impresson.

Our comments on the festival: It was a fantastic experience and I am glad that I was there. (Kaca) I especially liked the atmosphere during lessons. Students were interested and asked lecturers many questions. Even though there are differences in opinion between our countries, the youth in our country is friendly towards one another. (Simona). I enjoyed the communication between lecturers and students, the fact that everyone was friendly and kind. (Dunja) I liked the lesson schedule and the way hosts greeted us and how kind they were. I also liked the lesson topics and that all lessons were different. Children from the book club from Uzice secondary school told us a lot about the festival and the city. (Tijana S) We met new people and had the opportunity to see the writers and learn about their work (Tijana M.). I liked the hostel, all children we met were open and tried hard to make it fun for us. In the morning they brought us pie… Each lecturer introduced his topic in a different way. (Mina from the 3rd grade. I enjoyed the dynamic and that we were always busy and that we got to know literature now because I thought literature was something old. I loved listening to Velickovic. (Jelena T). I liked the fact that each lesson was unique, that we learned in a different way, socialized and learned a lot. (Mina from the 1st grade) Lessons were high quality, they were valuable and apart from the lessons, the most important was meeting boys from different bands. (Dimitrije) I enjoyed the festival and I am glad that our students were able to participate in this event. I think they learned a lot and I am glad that they already asked to come next year. Excellent festival, kind hosts, busy schedule… Many learning opportunities. I hope we will visit again in the future! (Sasa)
